We are using PostgreSQL and different schemas, but that should be no
problem to change, it is merely a matter of setting the right values in
Mediawiki's "LocalSettings.php".

So far, the only disctinction is between Admins, Members, and
Non-members, which are mapped to corresponding, configurable Mediawiki
user groups. However, I don't think it should be a problem to match the
roles as well.

What I have not solved so far is how to automatically handle upgrades of
Mediawiki. But as an upgrade will require some manual work by the admin
anyway, it should be possible for him to run some "upgrade_all_mw.sh"
that does the work.

To be honest, we have mostly done the Mediawiki part of this, and not so
much of the plugin, as I'm pretty familiar with Mediawiki, but not with
FusionForge. So that side is not very well developed so far. Maybe this
is where we can cooperate?

I always wanted to finish the Mediawiki plugin so that I can give it to
the FusionForge community, but the problem is that I do not have a spare
server where I can easily deploy and test FusionForge. Instead, I have
to use my Laptop. And there I haven't found the time to try to install
FusionForge. Of course I could install the debian packages, but I want
to use the developers version when developing something. And I haven't
found a good description on how to install FusionForge from the
development sources yet...
